It has been decided that Ichiro will be inducted into the MLB Baseball Hall of Fame on January 22, 2025.

He will be the first Japanese to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Ichiro received 393 votes out of 394, one short of a unanimous vote, but he was selected for induction into the Hall of Fame.

The voter turnout was the third highest in history (99.7%).
